Terms of service
Last updated October 4, 2026. These terms cover the NearMint Chrome extension, iPhone app and this website ("NearMint").
Using NearMint
By creating an account or using NearMint you agree to these terms and our privacy policy. You need to be at least 13 (or the minimum age for online services where you live). NearMint is free to use.
Your account
- You sign in with Google or Apple and are responsible for what happens on your account.
- Your @handle, name, bio and picture are visible to other users. Don't pick a handle that impersonates someone or is offensive; we may remove it.
- You can stop using NearMint at any time and ask us to delete your account (see the privacy policy).
Prices are estimates
Prices, grades and card matches come from third-party data and automatic recognition. They can be wrong, out of date or match the wrong card. They're for information only — not financial, investment or appraisal advice. Check the card and the listing yourself before you buy or sell.
Acceptable use
Don't:
- scrape, bulk-download or resell our price data, or call our API outside the extension and app;
- try to access other people's accounts or data, or get around privacy settings, rate limits or security;
- reverse engineer NearMint to build a competing service, or overload or disrupt it;
- use NearMint for anything unlawful, or to harass other users.
We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.
Streams and other sites
The extension reads a card off the tab you choose so it can price it. You're responsible for following the rules of the sites and streams you use it on. Links to eBay, TCGPlayer and other sites go to services we don't control.
Ownership
NearMint's software, design and name belong to us. Card names, artwork and images belong to their owners; NearMint is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Nintendo, The Pokémon Company, Creatures Inc. or GAME FREAK. Your collection data stays yours; you let us store and process it to run NearMint.
No warranty
NearMint is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind. We don't promise it will be accurate, uninterrupted or error-free, and we may change or discontinue features at any time.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for losses from buying, selling or valuing cards based on NearMint. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change matters, we'll update the date above and tell you in the app; continuing to use NearMint means you accept it.
